Ukraine and Russia intend to complete reconstruction of Kyyiv-Moscow highway by September 2009.
Transport and Communication Minister Yosyp Vinskyi told this to the press.
He said he had had a talk with Russian transport minister and agreed on completion of road works by September 1, 2009, as Ukrainian News reports.
Vinskyi also said that on Saturday, May 31, the highway reconstruction was completed at the 89.4-kilometer part, Verteevka-Sumy region border.
The total value is UAH 765 million.
Thus, Ukraine still is to reconstruct 97.7-kilometer Sumy region border-Bachevsk part of the highway.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in March 2007, the state automobile road service, Ukravtodor, intended to complete the reconstruction in 2007.
