Candidate for the post of Kyiv mayor and incumbent Mayor Leonid Chernovetskyi is leading in the Kyiv mayoral elections with 36.89% according to the results from 890 polling stations, or 86.74% of their total number of 1,026.
This is stated in the electronic vote counting report of the Kyiv city territorial election commission, Ukrainian News says.
Other mayor candidates, Oleksandr Turchynov has 18.71% of the vote, Vitalii Klychko 17.66%, Viktor Pylypyshyn 6.62%, Mykola Katerynchuk 4.34%, Oleksandr Omelchenko 2.49%, Vasyl Horbal 2.4%, Oleh Tiahnybok 1.36%, Oleksandr Pabat 1.31%, Viktor Chornyi 0.23%, Hryhorii Chernysh 0.23%, Leonid Omelchenko 0.16%, Mykhola Danilin 0.15%, Oleksandr Tkachenko 0.1%, Yevhen Zhovtiak 0.1%
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, on May 25, Sunday, Kyiv elected its mayor.
Seventy candidates were running for the post.
