FIFA executive committee adopted the decision Wednesday on banning high altitude soccer internationals over 3000 meters above sea level.

The reason for introduction such ban are medical researches according to which players not used to highlands conditions have difficulties while playing soccer.
We remind that, that the initial ban limited soccer matches to 2.5 thous. meters.
The altitude was increased under pressure of Football Federation of South America, comprising Bolivia, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile and Mexico – which are countries with a number of upland stadiums.
