The full-back of the national team of Italy Fabio Cannavaro became the holder of the best football player of 2006 title in FIFA.
The award ceremony washeld on Monday in the Switzerland city of Zurich.
33 year-old Neapolitan received “Diamond Ball”, leaving behind Zinedine Zidan and Brazilian Ronaldinho. In November Cannavaro was honoured “Golden Ball” as the best player of Europe.
Cannavaro became the first full-back to receive the title of the best football player since the moment of FIFA title establishing in 1991.
