Mobile network operator “Kyivstar” company which is the title sponsor of the Ukrainian national football team has payed out UAH 2,525 million to the team for participation in the World Championship, the chief of the PR department of the company Viktor Gotsulenko informed.
The team received UAH 1,515 million for two victories in the group tournament and UAH 1,01 million more for winning Switzerland in 1/8 final.
In case the team wins in quarterfinal “Kyivstar” would pay UAH 1,515 million more, in half final – UAH 2,525 million, in final – UAH 2,778 million. “We could pay more. It’s a pity that we didn’t do that”, Gotsulenko said.
Earlier “Kyivstar” made the sponsor contribution of UAH 7,5 million for training the Ukrainian national team for the world championship.
As a reminder, Ukraine finished its participation in World Football Championship 2006 after losing in quarterfinal to Italy with score 0:3.
