On February 27 leadership of the state, heads of 22 diplomatic missions of foreign states in Ukraine, delegations of the regions-partners from Russia (Kursk and Belgorod regions) are coming to celebrate 75th anniversary of Kharkiv region.
Also, representatives from the regions of Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Luhansk, Poltava, Sumy and other regions are planned to take part in the event.
As Lyubov Luchaninova, chief staff of the Regional State Administration informed at the meeting of the Organizing committee on the celebration preparations that a function on the occasion of the anniversary is to be held on February 27, at Kharkiv Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. In particular, tributes of the Cabinet of Ministers and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will be given to the best representatives of Kharkiv region there.
It hasn’t been decided yet whether fireworks are planned on the day of the celebration. Some of the members of the Organizing committee consider such measures unreasoned. This issue will be discussed at further meetings of the committee, reports the official site of the Regional State Administration.
