The state plans to increase the number of budget places in higher educatuinal institutions, the Minister of Education and Science Stanislav Nikolayenko announced in Kharkiv.
“If we would teach only those who have money, the national river named Ukraine will shallow”, Nikolayenko admitted during his visit to the Kharkiv National Radioelectronics University.
The Minister also noted that his department is worried about the quality of specialists training in so called commercial higher educational institutions and their branches all over Ukraine. As Nikolayenko said, if for all years of independence in Ukraine were closed 50 such institutions and their branches, during the last year the activity of almost 70 such institutions was finished. The Minister admitted too that today in our country more than 345 academies are registered, Kharkiv Regional State Administration informs.
