17 from 27 district councils in the region have chosen their heads. In 8 districts newly elected deputies have not met yet but the dates of sessions are known already. Two councils – in Novaya Vodolaga and Pechenegy – have not settle yet with the first sessions.
13 from 17 heads of councils are representatives of the Party of Regions. Two district councils – in Zachepilovka and Krasny Kut – are headed by “Our Ukraine” and another two – Bliznyuki and Kolomak – by representatives of the Block of Yulia Timoshenko.
Among 17 new council heads there is only one woman – “regional” Zhanna Chinkova who became the head of Kegichovka district council.
