Ukraine intends to remove import curbs of meat products from Poland on November 25. Minister of Economy of Poland Piotr Wozniak informed journalists of this after the bilateral Ukrainian-Polish meeting of the leadership of working groups in economic cooperation on Monday.
“We have discussed with the related services the question of export curbs of meat production from Poland to Ukraine. On the date announced – November 25 – the curbs will be possible to remove and probably start exporting these products again”, he said.
As “proUA” reports, the Minister noted that the State Veterinary Medicine Department of Ukraine continues to examine Polish meat-processing factory at the present moment.
Wozniak also informed that the Polish party is carrying out the similar inspection relating to Ukrainian producers – exporters of meat, the inspection is supposed to be over by November 25.
As it was reported earlier, the State Department of Veterinary Medicine of Ukraine from March 26 temporarily banned on meat import from Poland, Byelorussia, Moldova because of cases of importing meat products without the proper documents to these countries.
The Minister of Agriculture of Poland Krzysztof Jurgiel stated that Ukrainians themselves imported a contraband meat from Poland to Ukraine, so this can’t be the reason for the official trade banning.
