For the period of January-August 2006 industrial enterprises of the region have produced 5.94 % more than for the same period of the previous year. To the information oà the Department of industry, transport and communication, the output volume was reached due to the food industry and agricultural products processing – 112.4 %, metallurgy and fabricating - 112.7 %, light industry 115.2 %, wood production and products from it – 112.4 %.
70 % of the whole industrial production output falls at the light industry. As it was noted in the Department of industry, transport and communication, these are the enterprises: private company Kharkiv buscuit-making plant, close joint-stock company Confectionary “Kharkovchanka”, Phillip Morris Ukraine, bread factories “Saltovskyi” and “Slobojanskyi”, corporation “Tekhnocom”, close joint-stock company Kharkiv fat works.
A decline in the industry was fixed in machinery branch among such enterprises: joint stock companies “Works Potential”, “Kharkiv bearing plant”, “KhTZ”, “Avtramat”, “Transconnection”, “Volchanskyi aggregate works”, closó joint-stock companies “Chervonyi Ortyabr”, Lozovskyi works “Tractorodetail”, “Petrovskyi KhVZ”, “Konnector”, SE “Malyshev works”, “KhEMZ” etc.
As Head of the Department of industry, transport and communication reported at the press-conference, reducing oà workplaces is observed on the whole in machinery industry, excepting SE “Electrotyazhmash” and joint stock company, where positive tendencies are traced concerning workplaces.
