The government has suspended financing of tank weapon system “Bulat” modernization. Thу State hasn’t paid off 38 million hryvnyas to the works. Arsen Avakov, head of the Regional State Administration, informed of this at the press-conference in Chuhuyiv.
Head of the State Regional Administration, Arsen Avakov, “I have officially addressed the government with a wish and an indication that the situation is getting critical. Accrued payroll is raising, the production has been stopped. I hope they will listen to me in the government.”
This is the first Avakov’s addressing to the government. In his opinion, the previous government made a strategic mistake, when it didn’t include it into the budget of 2005 to reconstruct tanks at Malyshev works, thus ‘shoving the works on the poverty line’.
T-64 tanks in its various modifications is the most popular tank in the Ukrainian army.
When modernizing, running gear shock-absorbers are strengthened, an up-to-date integral reactive armour “Chopper”, thermal imager, a new aiming complex, an advanced fire control complex, laser beam controlled missile, modern means of communication, a new more powerful engine are installed.
