Specialists of “Khartron”, leading enterprise that in Soviet period has been working on space technologies, work at project “Cyclone-4” now along with Russian and Brazil specialists. Though today the space is not nearly the only direction for “Khartron” and not the basic for Ukraine.
Enterprise “Khartron-Arkos” is a successor of Soviet “Khartron” in creating navigation and control systems for spacecrafts and satellites. This company is one of 13 enterprises under “Khartron” brand that are still involved in space development.
The most part of orders come from abroad. As Director General of an enterprise Yury Zlatkin says, “Khartron-Arkos” received the first orders from Ukrainian government only two years ago.
Yury Zlatkin, Director General of “Khartron-Arkos”: “This is “Cyclone-4”. If you probably heard, it’s the Ukrainian-Brazil project, control systems and satellites. It’s all in the interests of Dnepropetrovsk. Satellites “Egypsat” are intended for Egypt and MS-28 for Ukraine”.
