“We” – are actors, singers, dancers, poets. “We” is the name of the theatre. It is only the actors are not quite ordinary – they have a poor vision or they can’t see at all.
20 year-old Yulia is a leadinbf singer in the theatre, she is a journalist in her everyday life. Yulia has bad eyes, however that doesn’t bother her to perform in song contests.
Yuliya Lykhobaba, leading singer of “We” theatre, “You know, I’ve been singing since school, I took part in regional and city contests, in all-Ukrainian contests for the disabled, we went to “Yelocha” health resort, we went to annual festival “Believe in yourself”.
Theatre “We” has two groups – made up of adults, actors from 25 to 50 and for young people – from 15 to 25 years old. All of them are pupils or former pupils of the gymnasium for blind children. They write poems, compose fairy-tales, make up short stories and record songs.
Yan Ksenzhenko, stage manager of “We” theatre, “We stage plays, we have started working quite lately, our first work was “Celebrate, forever until now”. They are musicians, this is also choreography, and, of course, staging”.
The theatre doesn’t have its own stage yet. So far, says Kateryna Bundakovskaya, director and ideological inspirer of the group with hope. She has prepared the performance program and offered it at the social projects contest. She says that if “we win” – the collective will get together with opportunity to buy their own premises and make their main dream come true.

The theatre group have literally far-reaching plans: “Heprotoptana stezhyna” (“Untrodden path” – ed.) festival in Lviv and International festival of youth in Slovakia.
