Today, on March 27, all over the world the International Day of Theatre is celebrated. This is the holiday not only for those who work in theatre but also for all the spectators.
For today 6 theatres works in Kharkiv, four of them are academic. Every year Kharkiv theatres perform more than 1500 spectacles that more than 400 thousand people attend.
Note: In 1961 in Vienna on the 9th congress of International Institute of Theatre of UNESCO there was adopted a decision to celebrate the International Day of Theatre. This day is celebrated since 1962.
