Basra or Mosul. One of this Iraqi towns may become a sister town of Kharkiv. The issue of new relations between Kharkiv and Iraq were discussed in city town-hall at the meeting with the Embassy of Iraq in Ukraine.
Representatives of the Embassy arrived in Kharkiv to visit higher institutions of the city, in which students from Iraq, to discuss issues connected to problems with Iraqi expat community in Kharkiv and region with universities representatives and local authorities.
The delegation discussed economy and humanitarian cooperation and sister-city relations between Kharkiv and a town in the Republic of Iraq. Iraqi diplomatic officials offered to make Kharkiv’s sister town either Basra or Mosul.
